Re-reading
I plan to re-read books I’ve read ages ago. When I was in grade school, my bestfriend and I spent our lunch break devouring books in the library. From encyclopedias, Aesop’s fairytales to Literary Classics. Can you believe I read The Portrait of Dorian Gray and Wuthering Heights at the age of 11? I remember liking them. I honestly did because I re-read them both. But now that I’m 20, I attempted to read them again and what is nosebleed? Hahaha.
So it’s now in my to-do list to read them both plus The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath. I read it in high school and I really did not get it along with Love in the Time of Cholera. I already re-read the latter and it left me feeling tingling with emotions.
I know this post is so disorganized but I’m just typing what’s in my head right now. I’m just amazed by how you can gauge your own maturity with a book. You’ll always see it in a different light every time you read it again because somehow you and you’re perceptions have changed.
